The unemployment rate of 8.5 per cent Wash drops

OLYMPIA, Wash.

The November rate was 8.7 per cent. But the State Department says there is job security “conflicting data,” blurring the image of the overall job market of the country. A survey of Washington Business also shows an estimate of the loss of 10,700 jobs from November to December.

“There are a lot of volatility in the number of which we got from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, and one month the amount is not enough to measure what is happening in the job market,” Greg weeks, the head of the Department of employment security labor market information Office, said in a statement. “If you look at trends over time, the work gradually increase and the unemployment rate down.”

Officials said that between December 2010 and December 2011, the overall employment in the country rose by approximately 29,600 jobs.

The unemployment rate in December was the lowest since February 2009, when the unemployment rate was 8.3 per cent.
